Opinion towards Evil Geniuses' Boycott from SMM 2011

One of the hottest news for SMM Grand Final 2011 was that Evil Geniuses boycotted the tournament. Were their actions and decision the right one?

In my opinion, EG definitely did not show any professionalism at all. Before joining any eSport tournaments, all of us know that decisions by tournament officials are final and non-negotiable. They work according to procedures which was set. The rules states that 'Towers & Kills Points' are only accountable when the game exceeds 20 minutes mark. However, the game between EG and Mith.Trust was only at 16th minute when it all happened. There were no reason for EG to act rudely towards Mith.Trust.' -SmiLey

Important notice: We are desperately looking for a way to reach EG as MiTH Trust is offering to forfeit yesterdays game or have a fair rematch. There is only limited time for EG to play their matches in case they agree!

We support this sporting behaviour on behalf of MiTH Trust and hope that we will find a way to contact EG or that they will be able to turn up in time.

Above is another quote from JoinDOTA. This in turn showed how sporting Mith.Trust was. However, SMM officials did not allow Mith.Trust to forfeit or a rematch to be done.
